‘We are excited to announce the release of four additional Year 5 Familiarisation Workshops, based around the subject of Business and Enterprise! Please see below for details:

Saturday, 2 March – How ‘fair’ is Fairtrade? – Students will creatively explore the concept of Fairtrade through the journey of the banana.

Saturday, 16 March – The Egg Business Challenge – Students will be working in small teams to compete in ‘The Egg Business Challenge’! You must buy raw materials to make an egg holder; once you have made the egg holder, you will sell it to the shop and use your money to buy more materials and make a new egg holder (which must be better than the last!). Will you make a profit, or will you go bust!?

Saturday, 18 May – The Ice Lolly Challenge – Working in small teams, your challenge is to design a brand new ice lolly! Who’s business idea will win over the Dragons?

Saturday, 8 June – Ingenious Innovations –  What is innovation? How do businesses come up with new product ideas? How do businesses solve problems? But, most importantly, do YOU have what it takes to invent the next best thing!?
