Dear Parents and Carers of Year 5 Girls

We are delighted to keep you up-to-date with the

latest forthcoming events at MGGS available for you to book for your daughter.

These events are open to girls in year 5 in the Maidstone area looking for a grammar school education. Sessions are designed to give a flavour of lessons at MGGS whilst familiarising girls with our community. Places are limited.

Here is a selection of the primary school events that are coming up at MGGS and available for booking:

Year 5 Taster Lessons - Media Film Review

22nd May 2017: 4-5pm

This taster lesson is on Media – Film Review. Students will watch a short animated film and then learn how to discuss, describe and analyse the film. They will write a short film review advising other young people to either watch or avoid this film!

Taster Day Masterclasses Year 5 Girls

6th or 13th June 2017: 8.45am - 2.00pm

These taster days are specifically for year 5 girls considering joining us in 2018. Students will have a unique opportunity to discover what life is really like at MGGS by enjoying taster lessons, meeting our current year 7 students, exploring the school during a normal school day and experiencing a free lunch in the school canteen.

Masterclasses will be delivered in English, Mathematics, Science and Thinking Skills. Lunch will be available free of charge to all students taking part. From 1.30pm, parents will also be invited along to share the experience with a talk and tour of the school at the end of the day.

NB: Please ensure that you seek permission from your daughter's primary school before making this booking. Please note that two identical sessions have been planned. Parents/carers should book either 6th June or 13th June 2017 and not both.

How to Book

This very simple to do just visit our online booking page at http://www.mggs.org/online-bookings and select all the primary school events you wish to book in one go! Please feel free to pass this information on to your daughter's friends at primary school.
